What is the learning for Muslims from Delhi election ?
Its a fact AAP could not have won the landslide party if Muslim vote had got split as usual.
Consider these facts which news channels will not debate openly :
1. BJP vote share reduced just 1% which means almost all those who voted for BJP in previous assembly election, voted for BJP this time. Congress vote share reduced by 15% & Others/independents reduced by 8%. AAP gained by 25% & atleast 18% of this was Muslim vote. Muslims voted for AAP unanimously there was no Congress, no SP, no one else.
Beat this - In many seats, the winning margin was very near the number of Muslim electorate in that constituency.
2. Kiran Bedi announced today she was winning till 13 rounds until counting started for a Muslim dominated area & she lost by 2000 odd votes. Had Muslim vote got split, she would have won easily.
3. Kiran Bedi has written to EC against fatwa to vote for AAP (ofcourse there is no fatwa). This shows the impact & dent Muslim vote has made to BJP seats.
This is the power of Muslims. As long as we are united, such results & trends will continue in every municipal, assembly & national election. Its time for our leaders to forget their selfish interests & unite the Muslims to vote for one party.
Wherever there is a conflict eg MIM or AAP, let parties work hard for our unified votes. Make them prepare a separate manifesto for development of Muslim community on the basis of which community will decide whom to vote.
Spread this awareness to unite the Muslims & our leaders.
