Identity Crisis

Puppy love: Teenage sex has never been more stigmatized in India.
NEW DELHI: When the Indian Penal Code (IPC) was enacted way back in 1860, the age of consent -the minimum age at which a girl is legally competent to have consensual sex -was fixed at 10. In other words, even if she was a willing partner, sex with a girl less than 10 was deemed to be statutory rape. In 1891, the colonial government raised the age of consent to 12, following outrage over the death in Bengal of child bride Phulmonee as a result of "consensual sex" with her adult husband. Yet, conservatives led by no less than Bal Gangadhar Tilak attacked the incremental reform as "dangerous precedent" and "interference with Hinduism".
After a couple of more such incremental reforms, the age of consent stabilized in 1940 at 16, which is the global norm. Seven decades later, in an even more liberal scenario, conservative forces struck again, this time to increase — not decrease —the age of consent. What gave them the opportunity to demand raising the age of consent from 16 to 18 was the process of enacting a special law, the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Bill. In 2011, a parliamentary standing committee headed by Oscar Fernandes recommended that change in the age of consent despite opposition from the ministry of women and child development. Strengthened by the standing committee's report, the conservative opinion forced the Manmohan Singh government to enhance the age of consent to 18 in the POCSO bill passed in the Budget session of 2012.
As a corollary, the government was confronted with the demand to make a corresponding change in the IPC. But the public outrage over the Nirbhaya gang rape in December 2012 came in the way as feminist groups lobbied with the government to keep the age of consent at 16. Eventually, the conservatives trumped the liberals when an all-party meeting compelled the government to drop the proposal of rolling back the age of consent to 16 in POCSO. So when rape provisions were tightened in 2013, the age of consent was raised to 18 in the IPC too. The resulting legal landscape is fraught with anomalies, making girls more vulnerable than ever before.
Illiberal company
The most plausible justification offered for the enhanced age of consent is that it would be on a par with the age of marriage for women. But then, since the Prohibition of Child Marriage Act, 2006 (as discussed in an earlier article in this series) does not actually invalidate marriage of women below 18, the age of consent does not apply to an underage wife, unless she is below 15. The IPC continues to exclude underage wives between 15 and 18 from the ambit of rape. This despite the post-Nirbhaya recommendation of the Justice Verma Committee to remove the immunity granted to marital rape. For all the changes made to the definition of rape in 2013, it still bears this caveat: "Sexual intercourse or sexual acts by a man with his own wife, the wife not being under fifteen years of age, is not rape." Thus, the Manmohan Singh government privileged the institution of marriage over the woman's sexual autonomy . This retrograde policy is being perpetuated by the Narendra Modi government, as borne out by a reply in Parliament in April. Citing a UN estimate that 75% of married women in India were subjected to marital rape, DMK MP K Kanimozhi had asked whether the government was planning to criminalize it. Junior home minister H P Chaudhary said: "It is considered that the concept of marital rape, as understood internationally, cannot be suitably applied in the Indian context due to various factors, including level of education, illiteracy, poverty, myriad social customs and values, religious beliefs, mind set of the society to treat marriage as a sacrament." The upshot is that while the age of consent has been increased for unmarried women to 18, it remains at 15 for those who are married.
The worst hit by the changes made in 2012 (through POCSO) and in 2013 (through IPC) are unmarried girls between 16 and 18. Till these changes kicked in, India, like other liberal societies, had allowed girls of this age bracket to engage in consensual sex. When it had this enlightened approach, India was in the company of Britain, Norway , Canada, Switzerland, Israel, Russia, South Africa and a majority of the states of the US.By criminalizing teenage sex in the manner it did, India has since landed in the company of illiberal democracies such as Rwanda, Uganda, Chile, Peru and Egypt. The only countries that are harsher than India on teenage sex are those which do not recognize any age of consent at all. In Islamic countries like Saudi Arabia, Yemen, Iran and Pakistan, any sex outside marriage is criminal and liable to severe punishment, even if it is entirely consensual.
Bad to worse
Historians in the future may be hard put to figure why India chose to turn illiberal in this regard six decades after Independence. It is indeed ironic that while everything else has become more accessible, adolescent girls between 16 and 18 are now allowed less sexual freedom than their predecessors. Women's groups have therefore been campaigning that normal sexual exploration during growing-up years should not be criminalized.
The situation threatens to worsen once the new juvenile justice bill is passed into law. For, even if the male partner is also between 16 and 18, he will then be liable to be tried as an adult. One of the key provisions of the bill, which was passed by the Lok Sabha in May and is awaiting the nod of the Rajya Sabha, permits juveniles between 16 and 18 to be tried as adults for heinous offences, including rape. From the viewpoint of a girl between 16 and 18, this compounds the legal changes made in 2012 and 2013 which have already made it impossible for her to have consensual sex without exposing her partner to the charge of statutory rape. And now, if the Rajya Sabha too clears the juvenile justice bill, then her partner may be punished as an adult criminal, with a minimum sentence of seven years, even if he is of her age group.Teenage sex has never been more stigmatized in India.

Who Was Brigadier Md. Usman?

Brigadier Mohammad Usman (15 July 1912 – 3 July 1948) (also known as Usman Mohomad) was the highest ranking officer of Indian Army killed in the Indo-Pakistani War of 1947, who as a Muslim became a "symbol of" India's "inclusive secularism".  At the time of partition of India he with many other officers declined to move to the Pakistan Army and continued to serve the Indian Army. He died in July 1948 while fighting the raiders in
Jammu and Kashmir .
Birth and Education
Brig Usman was born at Bibipur,
Azamgarh in Uttar Pradesh on July 15, 1912. His mother was Jamilun Bibi D/o Abdul Kabir Ansari belongs to Ansari family of Yusufpur and father was Mohammad Faqooq Khunambir of Bibipur (Azamgarh) was Shaher Kotwal Benaras.
Young Usman was educated at Harish Chandra High School in Varanasi. He entered the Royal Military Academy at Sandhurst in 1932 and was commissioned a Second Lieutenant and appointed to the Unattached List for the Indian Army on 1 February 1934. [4] He was attached in India to the 1st battalion the Cameronians on 12 March 1934 for a year.
Military career
At the end of his year with the Cameronians, on the 19 March 1935 he was appointed to the Indian Army and posted to the 5th battalion Baluch Regiment. Later in the year he saw active service on the North West frontier of India during the Mohmand operations of 1935. He qualified as a 1st class interpreter in Urdu in November 1935.
He was promoted Lieutenant 30 April 1936 and Captain 31 August 1941. By April 1944 he was a temporary Major.

He served in Burma and was mentioned in dispatches as a temporary Major in the London Gazette 27 September 1945. He commanded the 14th battalion 10th Baluch Regiment April 1945 to April 1946.
He was promoted Major 31 August 1946.
At the time of partition he was offered to become Chief of the Pakistani Army but he chose to stay in India.
When the Baluch Regiment was allotted to Pakistan, Brig Usman was transferred to the Dogra Regiment. At the time of Indo-Pakistani War of 1947, Brig Usman, Commander of 77 Para Brigade was given command of 50 Para Brigade, deployed at Jhangar in December 1947.
At the time of Indo-Pakistani War of 1947-48 Brigadier Usman was posted at the Jammu and Kashmir front as the brigade commander of the 50 Para Brigade. He led his soldiers from front and in January–February 1948 repulsed a fierce attack on Nowshera and Jhangar , two highly strategic locations in Jammu and Kashmir. He was thence known as the Lion of Naoshera. However, he was killed in action while fighting the Pakistan Army and the tribal raiders on July 3 of that year.
An Indian journalist, Khwaja Ahmad Abbas , wrote about his death, "a precious life, of imagination and unswerving patriotism, has fallen a victim to communal fanaticism. Brigadier Usman's brave example will be an abiding source of inspiration for Free India". Brigadier Usman was awarded the Indian military honour
Maha Vir Chakra posthumously.
This year, 15 July marked the 100th birth anniversary of Brigadier Mohammed Usman, Maha Vir Chakra [posthumous], the ‘Sher of Naushera’, as he got to be known after the battle of Naushera during the first India-Pakistan war of 1947-48. He was 12 days short of his 36th birthday when he laid down his life defending Jhangar, on 3 July 1948. Born on 15 July 1912 at Bibipur into a prominent family of today’s Azamgarh district, Uttar Pradesh, he was the first son after three daughters of Khan Bahadur Mohammed Farukh, a widely regarded police official.
Usman and his younger brothers, Subhan and Gufran, were educated at Harish Chandra Bhai School, Varanasi. At the age of 12, he had jumped into a well to rescue a drowning child. Later, when Usman made up his mind to join the Army, despite the limited opportunities for Indians to get commissioned ranks and despite intense competition, he succeeded in getting admission to the prestigious Royal Military Academy at Sandhurst. Upon completion of his training Usman was commissioned into the Baluch Regiment.
At the time of partition, Usman being a Muslim officer in the Baluch Regiment, was under intense pressure from the newly born Pakistan’s leadership to opt for the Pakistan army. But so strong were his ideals of his motherland that even the ultimate bait of becoming the Pakistan Army Chief proved unsuccessful in convincing Usman.
When the Baluch Regiment was allotted to the Pakistan army, Brig Usman was transferred to the Dogra Regiment. But war had already been thrust upon India when Pakistan sent tribal irregulars and its soldiers into Jammu & Kashmir. Even as the situation in the Kashmir valley stabilised the threat continued to be serious in the Jammu region. Brig Usman, commanding 77 Parachute Brigade, was sent to command the 50 Paraachute Brigade, deployed at Jhangar in December 1947. On 25 December 1947, with odds heavily against him, Jhangar was wrested by the Pakistanis. Located at the junction of roads coming from Mirpur and Kotli, Jhangar was of strategic importance, but more compelling was Brig Usman’s fierce pride in his men and determination to restore their honour. On that day the brigadier took a vow to recapture Jhangar – a feat he accomplished three months later, but at the cost of his own life.
During the defence of Naushera against overwhelming odds and numbers, his fiery leadership had resulted in major defeat of the enemy at and around Naushera with 2000 casualties [about 1000 dead and 1000 wounded] while he suffered only 33 dead and 102 wounded. That battle earned him the title Naushera ka Sher. The same Pakistanis, who had earlier tried to motivate him to join the Pakistan Army and make him its chief, announced a then astronomical sum of Rs 50,000 as a prize for his head, in 1948. Unaffected by praise and congratulations, the Brigadier continued to sleep on a mat laid on the floor as he had vowed that he would not sleep on a bed till he recaptured Jhangar, from where, outnumbered by a large force of infiltrators inducted by Pakistan Army, he had to withdraw earlier.
The then Lieutenant General K M Cariappa [later General and C-in-C, Indian Army/Chief of Army Staff and years after retirement made Field Marshal], who had taken over as Western Army Commander, brought his tactical headquarters forward to Jammu to oversee the conduct of two important operations, the capture of Jhangar and Poonch. The capture of Jhangar was of special significance for Brig Usman. The operation commenced in the last week of February 1948. 19 Infantry Brigade advanced along the Northern ridge, while 50 Para brigade cleared the hills dominating the Naushera-Jhangar road in the south.
The enemy was eventually driven from this area, and Jhangar was recaptured. Pakistan brought its regular forces into the fray in May 1948. Jhangar was once again subjected to heavy artillery bombardment, and many determined attacks were launched on Jhangar by the Pakistan Army. Brig Usman however frustrated all enemy attempts to recapture Jhangar. It was during this arduous defence of Jhangar that Brig Usman was unfortunately was killed on July 3, 1948, by an enemy 25-pounder shell. His last words were ‘I am dying but let not the territory we were fighting for fall for the enemy”. For his inspiring leadership and great courage, he was awarded the Maha Vir Chakra posthumously.
Brig Mohammed Usman was then the highest ranking Indian Army officer who died fighting during the first Indo-Pak war 1947-48 and was given a state funeral.
A man of simple taste and a teetotaller, Usman remained a bachelor throughout his life. He used to donate a large part of his salary to support poor children and pay for their education. Brig Usman was indeed an epitome of valour, a great patriot and nationalist.
Memorial
He is buried in a grave in Jamia Millia Islamia campus in New Delhi.
Upender Sood a film director has produced a film on life of Brigadier Usman .
His birth centenary was celebrated in 2012 by Indian Army at Jhajjar. A Paramotor Expedition was organized by Gorkha Training Centre in the memory of Brigadier Usman.

How to Exterminate Muslims in India?

Muslims ruled over Spain from 712 AD to 1492 AD for 780 years, yet today there are no Muslims in Spain though every aspect of Spanish life has a touch of Islam. Spanish language has many Arabic words, its music has an Arabic tone, its culture has more Arabic influence than the European, and proper nouns in Spanish often have the Arabic prefix al. From 1492, when the last bastion of Muslim political strength Grenada fell, the Muslims of Spain were on the decline and its culmination took place after 120 years when the last batch of Muslim die-hards left Spain in 1612. From that year, Islam vanished from the Spanish horizons.
A particular noteworthy point is that during this period of Islamic decline from Spain, the entire civilised world was ruled by Muslims. The Ottoman Turks had conquered Constantinople in 1553, and were ruling the entire Balkan Peninsula, Egypt was ruled by the powerful Mamiukes, Persia was at its political pinnacle under the Abbasi rulers, and India was ruled by the Moghals. Still Islam vanished from Spain and none of these great Muslim armies did anything to protect the Muslims of Spain. How Islam was ejected from Spain had been a subject of keen study by lndia's Hindu Nazis in the 30s and 40s of this century. They studied this aspect to be copied in India and to counter this possibility, the Muslim leaders also studied this to prevent a repetition of the Spanish methods because Muslims (forming 11.35% of the population as per 1981 census) as lndia's single largest minorities have become the biggest headache to the upper caste Hindus. But the present-day Muslims are totally ignorant of the history of Islamic decline in Spain and hence of the designs surrounding it.

Through this we intend to shed a little light on this subject so that the thinking section of the Muslims and their sympathisers may do some more research on this subject. As in India, Spanish Muslims had three categories: (i) the descendants of the original Arabs, (ii) descendants of Arab fathers and Spanish mothers and (iii) Christian converts to Islam. Immediately after the fall of Grenada many of the original Arabs to save their lives (not property, as they were not permitted to carry their wealth) left Spain to Tunisia and Morocco; many died on their journey by the attacking Christian hordes. Rest of the original Arabs who opted to live in Spain itself were subsequently branded 'foreigners" (as in India) and destroyers of Spain. The other category of Muslims viz. the descendants of Muslim fathers and Christianmothers and converts from Christianity opted to live in Spain believing in the declaration of King Ferdinand that complete religious freedom would be guaranteed. (in India also, we are told that Muslims enjoy full religious freedom and minority rights). The attacks by Christian on their lives and property during the earlier years was pardoned as a temporary phenomenon.

Compare it with the development that took place in India after the partition (1947). But these attacks on Muslim life and property in Spain did not abate but continued for about 50 years with lesser intensity in a sporadic manner, just as it is happening in India today. In the earlier years, the Indian Muslims resisted and fought back. There were mini-battles in the streets, but gradually there were one-sided attacks and every time Muslims were the losers. Of late, the Hindu police itself is let lose to kill the Muslims in India.

While the organized Christian groups were committing such massacres, Ferdinand's Govt, in Spain adopted the policy of eliminating Muslims from the services and adopting the following measures:-

Arabic was removed from administration,
schools attached to mosques were debarred from teaching academic and secular subjects like science, history, mathematics and philosophy. Only religious teaching could be imparted,
Lessons in history were faked by which the Muslim rule was dubbed as barbaric. Contribution of Muslims to the development of Spain was avoided,
Muslim houses were made objects of constant searching by police on allegations of arms hoarding and secret meetings,
Original Arab Muslims were projected as enemies of Christians and destroyers of Spain.
Christian converts were persuaded to reconvert to Christianity on the ground that their ancestors were forced to become Muslims and as there is no more coercion, they should revert to Christianity.
Muslims who were from Muslim-Christian parentage were branded as bastards and ridiculed and persuaded to revert to Christianity.
Marriages performed in the Islamic manner were directed to be registered with the judicial officers.
Islamic law was declared illegal. Every method followed in Spain is being experimented in India with better precision and timing.
Thus Muslims in Spain were made objects of ridicule, condemnation and continuous attack. Burning of Muslim houses and shops was encouraged to destroy their economy. Mock ceremonies of reconversion of Muslims to Christianity were held and publicized. In India, Hindu Nazis of all hues-Arya Samaj, Ramakrishna Mission, Vishwa Hindu Parishad etc,. are doing the same. The first two generation of Spanish Muslims adopted passive methods to save their religion by teaching Arabic to their children at home and mosques, and telling them orally about the realities but gradually they lost the zeal. When marriages were ordered to be celebrated only through Govt. agencies, Muslims in early stages performed dual marriages - one with the Govt. authorities and again privately in their homes in the Islamic manner. Gradually the second ceremony was given up as even such a private ceremony was banned.

During this period, Muslim masses gradually fell out of the grips of the Muslim leadership and Muslim elites started flocking to Turkey, Tunisia, Morocco and Egypt where they were received with sympathy. Poor Muslim masses were left uncared for. This is exactly what is happening in India. The richer, English-educated Muslims are getting Brahminised. They have become imitators of upper caste Hindus as they live not in Muslim localities but in Hindu areas. The poor Muslims (they form 95% of the Muslim population) live in ghettos and being better followers of Islam, they are left high and dry. Hence they are getting killed in all anti-Muslim riots.

The seeds sown in the first half of the century in Spain started yielding results in the second half. There was no political leadership, no organization to protect Muslims and enlightened personalities to save the situation. Religious leaders knowing nothing but Islamic' theology tried their best to save the situation, but against heavy propaganda by the Govt. agencies, lures and offers to reconverts, ignorance of Islamic values by the masses and sense of inferiority nurtured in the minds of Muslim masses were too big a force to be undone by the theologians. This needed a political leadership and an organization with arms to counter, but there was none. Those who spoke of invoking the help of Muslim powers of Turkey and Egypt were feared and exposed before the authorities (by the Muslims themselves) to be condemned. Without willing fighters, other Muslim powers could not help. Those who had settled in Turkey and Egypt advised the authorities there to desist'from such a thought as otherwise atrocities on Muslims of Spain would increase. An Ahmed Shah Abdaii was needed but th@'@ was none. And the Muslim masses joined the "mainstream" of Spanish life and the mullahs finding no job for their preaching gradually left Spain. And the last batch to leave Spain consisted of the diehard mullahs in 1612

In India also the political leadership of the Muslims became a tail of the Hindu parties led by the upper castes. Only the theological leadership like that of Moulana Hasan Ali Nadvi has tried to maintain the cultural identity of the Indian Muslims.

This "Spanish experiment" is being tried with greater energy and efficiency in India. Urdu, which is as Islamic in India as Arabic was in Spain, is being eased out. Muslims are voluntarily holding on to madrasas. English-educated richer Muslims are away from the Muslim masses. We saw this at the Tablighe Jamat International conference held in Bangalore (DV, March 15, 1985). They are not going to Muslim countries, but are taking refuge in their psychological and physical seclusion. Any move to organise them to protect the Muslim life and property is branded as commun
al. Any Muslim flirting, if not supporting the upper castes, is called a "nationalist Muslim". The gulf between the Muslim masses and educated rich Muslims is widening every day. Mass killing of Muslims is considered something natural by the Muslim leadership itself. Whenever it is raised at international Islamic platforms such actions are called interference in the internal affairs of India. Muslims history is deleted from the syllabus. Names of Muslims who died for India are avoided. A great martyr who died for India like Tippu Sultan is unknown to youngsters, whereas the name of Tantia Tope, who fought not for India but for his pension, and Jhansi Laxmi Bai, who fought for her adopted son's heirship to the throne, is brought on the lips of every Indian. No Muslim gets awards for his contribution to science, medicine, music, art or gallantry. Even those who fought from the ranks of the ruling Congress Party like Moulana Azad, Kidwai, Syed Mahmood, Humayun Kabir etc. do not have a road or extension named after them. But there are half-a-dozen in the names of each upper caste leaders in our towns and cities. History is being re-written. ("Falsifying Indian History", DV editorial, April 16, 1985). Muslims are killed daily and their houses and shops burnt. The doors of the Army, police and administration are closed to them. And yet Muslim organizations to protect Islam are coming up like mushrooms. Everybody wants to protect Islam and nobody wants to protect Muslims. We are really worried.

A study of the Ruling Class policies reveals that it has great similarity with the one followed by Ferdinand and Isabelle in Spain. The only difference is that the Hindu upper castes are more sharp and sophisticated because of the limitations imposed in the 20th century by the checks exercisable by the United Nations Human Rights Charter and international public opinion.

The systematic and daily anti-Muslim riots resulting in loss of life and property, and above all the sense of fear in the hearts of every Muslim, elimination of the martial Muslims from the Defence, paramilitary and police forces and brahminising of these forces, closing the doors of appointments in Govt. services and public undertakings, Brahminisation of education and mass.media like radio, TV and advertisement, elimination of Urdu as official language from those areas which form the presentday States of Punjab, Haryana, UP, Bihar, parts of Madhya Pradesh, Maharastra, Andhra Pradhesh and Karnataka overnight in 1947-48, gradual closing of Urdu schools are all examples of positive anti-Muslim policies.

On the brahminical psychological warfare side comes the cries of Personal Law amendment, now diluted as common civil code, greatness of the Indian (Hindu) culture, projection of notorious anti-Muslim personalities like "Mahatma" Gandhi, B. G. Tilak, Madan Mohan Malaviya, Veer Savarkar, Lala Laipat Rai as heroes of India to belittle the contribution of Muslims for the development and progress of the country, re-writing of Indian history, describing Muslim professions like beef-selling as a sin and glorifying cow protection policies, introduction of mechanical slaughter of animals to throw out of job butchers, declaration of import and export business carried on by Muslims as smuggling are policies through which vulnerable Indian masses are misguided, resulting in a psychological anti-Muslim bias. Muslim electoral constituencies are divided horizontally and vertically so that they don't have an effective voting power anywhere and thrusting upon them ultra-secular Muslim leaders who have started worshipping Hindu idols and such scenes being systematically televised. Unfortunately Muslim leaders, who are dejected with the Govt., repose much confidence in Hindu masses and hope to secure their help ignoring the fact that the poor Hindu (Dalit) masses are as much victims of such a propaganda. And as on this day only seeds are being sown. The harvest is yet to come. When the harvest reason comes, what will be harvested in India is repetition of Spain, unless the Muslims resort to counter measures soon.

It is high time the Muslim/ intelligentsia rises to the occasion to undo the repetition of the history of Spain in India. Islam has always been protected by the Muslim masses and not by the classes. Rich Muslims, who are not even 5% of the Muslim population (with minor exceptions) are joining the upper caste exploiters. They may talk of Islam but they have forgotten the fellow Muslims. Please note: religion does not protect its followers, but followers protect the religion. Remember if Islam has to be saved in India, Muslims have to be saved.

This plant is common in Rwanda. It is a deadly poison, most specially for the children. It can kill a kid in less than a minute and an adult in 15 minutes. It should be uprooted from gardens and taken out of offices. If touched, one should never touch his/her eyes; it can cause partial or permanent blindness. Please alert your friends.����

اگر آپ کو ہڈیوں اور جوڑوں میں درد کی تکلیف ہے تو پھر آپ کو چاہیے کہ خشک ادرک کا استعمال کریں۔طبی ماہرین کا کہنا ہے کہ اس میں سوزش ختم کرنے والی خاصیت کی وجہ سے یہ جوڑوں کے درد میں آرام دیتا ہے۔
ادرک کے استعمال کے طریقے
*کھانے سے پہلے ادرک کو نمک اور لیموں کے ساتھ کھائیں۔نہ صرف آپ کو مزہ آئے گا بلکہ یہ کھانے کے ہضم ہونے میں بھی مددگار ثابت ہوگا۔
*کھانے پکانے کے دوران ادرک کو باریک باریک کاٹ کر ڈالیں اور چاہیں تو کھانا پیش کرتے وقت ادرک کھانے کے اوپر کاٹ کر چھڑک دیں۔

Passport Tearing at Indian Airports....Read it Carefully.!!!

Be Careful at the Indian Airports, This is a well organized conspiracy by Indian Immigration, Police, Customs and Air India staff with networking at all the Indian International Airports.. Be careful when ever you give your passport to Immigration/ Customs/Air India staff. The pass port can be easily tampered and can create trouble to you. They have found easy way of troubling n making money from NRI Muslims. This is the way it works:

At the time of the passenger's departure, if the passenger is not looking at the officer while he is stamping the exit, the officer very cleverly tears away one of the page from the passport. When the passenger leaves the immigration counter, the case is reported on his computer terminal with full details. Now all over India they have got full details of the passenger with Red Flag flashing on the Passport number entered by the departure immigration officer. They have made their money by doing above.

On arrival next time, he is interrogated.

Subject to the passenger's period of stay abroad, his income and standing etc., the price to get rid of the problem is settled by the Police and Immigration people. If someone argues, his future is spoiled because there are always some innocent fellows who think the honesty is the basis of getting justice in India .

Please advise every passenger to be careful at the airport. Whenever they hand over the passport to the counters of Air India , or immigration or the customs, they must be vigilant, should not remove eyes from the passport even if the officer in front tries to divert their attention.

Also, please pass this information to all friends, media men and important politicians. Every month 20-30 cases are happening all over India to rob the Muslim NRIs the minute he lands.

All the passengers traveling to & fro India via Bombay and Hyderabad must be aware of this conspiracy. Every month 15 to 20cases are taking place, at each mentioned airport, of holding the passengers in the crime of tearing away the passport pages. On interviewing some of them, none of them was aware of what had happened. They don't know why, when and who tore away the page from the middle of the passport. One can imagine the sufferings of such people at the hands of the immigration, police and the court procedures in India after that. The number of cases is increasing in the last 2-3 years. People who are arriving at the immigration, they are questioned and their passports are being held and they have to go in interrogation. Obviously, the conspiracy started about 2 to 3 years ago, now the results are coming. Some of the Air India counter staff too is involved in this conspiracy.

انوکھا مسافر

حضرت مولاناعبدالماجددریابادیؒ

اچھرہ ،لاہور کے قریب ایک اسلامی قصبہ ہے.
جس زمانے کا یہ واقعہ ہے اس وقت اچھرہ کی آبادی لاہور سے بالکل الگ تھی اوربیچ میں لمبے فاصلے تک کھیت تھے  ،کئی سال گذرے ،اس قصبہ کی جامع مسجد میں نماز مغرب پڑھی جارہی تھی کہ ایک نہایت ہی دبلاپتلامسافرآیااورشامل ِنماز ہوگیا،اگر چہ یہ مسافر محض ہڈیوں کا ڈھانچہ تھا ،تاہم اس کی صورت بااثر تھی ،نماز پڑھی گئی اورنمازی اپنے اپنے گھر چلے گئے ،تھوڑے عرصہ بعد ایک مقامی مسلمان کھانا لے کر داخل ِ مسجد ہوااوراس نووارد سے کہا: "آپ بھوکے ہوں گے ،میں کھانالایا ہوں ،براہ ِ کرم تناول فرمالیں ،آپ کی بڑی عنایت ہوگی"۔

مسافر نے جواب دیا: "لیکن معاف فرمائیے ،مجھے کچھ پرہیز ہے"۔
"حضرت آپ کچھ فکر نہ کیجئے ،یہ سادہ سی روٹی ہے،مرچ کم ہے اورگھی بھی بازاری نہیں ہے"۔مقامی مسلمان نے جواب دیا

"بھائی میرایہ مطلب نہیں ہے"۔مسافر نے کہا

"پھر کیا مطلب ہے"۔مقامی مسلمان نے پوچھا

مسافرچپ ہوگیا اورمقامی مسلمان اس کے چہرے کی طرف دیکھنے لگا،چند منٹ بعد مسافرنے زبان کھولی اورکہا:"امید ہے آپ مجھے معاف فرمائیں گے ،مجھے آپ سے کچھ بھی کہنے سننے کی ضرورت نہ تھی ، لیکن آپ کھانا لے کر آگئے تو مجبوراً مجھے عرض کرنا ضروری ہوگیا ہے،آپ جانتے ہیں کہ شریعت ِ اسلام میں طعامِحلال ،نمازِ پنجگانہ ہی کی طرح فرض ہے،ایک روایت میں ہے کہ اگر کسی مسلمان کا لقمہ حلال نہ ہوتو اللہ کی بارگاہ میں اس کے نہ فرض قبول ہوتے ہیں اورنہ نفل ؛چونکہ اس انگریز ی راج میں حلال وحرام کی تمیز اٹھ چکی ہے ،اس واسطے میں جب تک پوری طرح جان پہچان نہیں کرلیتا ،میں کسی بھا ئی کو بھی کبھی کھانے کی تکلیف نہیں دیتا"۔
"حضرت!آپ نے یہ کیافرمایا’’،مقامی مسلمان نے کہنا شروع کیا:
"معاذاللہ!میں حرام خور نہیں ہوں ،یہ چوری کامال نہیں ہے جو آپ کی خدمت میں پیش کیا گیا،میں یہاں منڈی میں آڑھتی ہوں اوربیوپار کرکے اپنی روزی کماتاہوں ،آپ اس کاوہم نہ کیجئے"۔
"تو پھر آپ کی تجارت کے کسی مرحلہ میں سود کالینا دینا نہیں ہوتا ؟"مسافر نے پوچھا۔
"میں یہ تو نہیں کہہ سکتا،کئی مواقع پر ہم کومنڈی سے قرض لینا پڑتاہےاورمقررہ شرح پر سود بھی دینا پڑتا ہے،اسی طرح تجارتی مال کے ہیرپھیر میں دوسرے سے بھی ہم سودوصول کرلیتے ہیں "۔مقامی مسلمان نے جواب دیا۔
"تو بہت اچھا ،میں معافی چاہتا ہوں کہ آپ کو تکلیف ہوئی ،احکام ِ قرآن کے مطابق وہ تجارتی منافع جس میں سود کی آمیز ش ہوحلال نہیں کہلاسکتا ،ممکن ہے آپ تجارتی رسوم یا حکومتی اصرار کے ماتحت مجبور ہوں ،لیکن میں مجبور نہیں ہوں ،بیشک آپ کو تکلیف ہوئی اورآپ کی دل شکنی بھی ہوئی ہوگی مگر آپ کے اسلامی اخلاق سے امید کرتاہوں آپ اس کے لئے مجھے معاف فرمادیں گے"۔
اس کے بعد مسافر نے مقامی مسلمان سے رخ پھیر لیا اورقبلے کی طرف منہ کرلیا،اور یادِ خدامیں مشغول ہوگیا ۔
مقامی مسلمان اس آخری جواب سے سخت مضطرب اورپریشان ہوا،اس نے نہایت ندامت سے برتن اٹھائے اور سر جھکا کر واپس چلاآیا اوربرتن گھر پہنچاکرہمسایہ کے ہاں پہنچااو ر اس سے کہاکہ
مسجد میں ایک بزرگ مسافر آئے ہیں ،آپ اپنے ہاں سے کھانا لے کر جائیں اورکھلاآئیں ،یہ ہمسایہ مقامی اسپتال میں ڈاکٹری کاکام کرتا تھا،

ڈاکٹر صاحب نے کھانا اٹھایا اورمسجد میں جاپہنچے ،مسافرنے نہایت نرمی اورخوش خوئی کے ساتھ ڈاکٹر صاحب سے تعارف اورجان پہچان کی فرمائش کی،

ڈاکٹر صاحب ذراباتونی بزرگ تھے ، انہوں نے کہانی سناناشروع کی اورفرمایا: "حضرت !مجھ پر اللہ تعالیٰ کا بڑا فضل ہے ،
میری ایک سوروپیہ تنخواہ ہے،دوچار روپئے ہرروز اوپر سے بھی آجاتے ہیں ،بڑا لڑکا کچہری میں ملازم ہے،وہ ۷۵روپئے تنخواہ پاتا ہے،اوردوچارروپئے روزانہ وہ بھی لے آتا ہے،زمین بھی ہے،جہاں سے سال کاغلہ آجاتا ہے وغیر ہ وغیرہ"۔

ڈاکٹر صاحب کی کہانی ختم ہوئی تو مسافر نے انہیں نہایت ہی محبت اورشیرینی سے سمجھایا کہ اسلام ِ مقدس کی روسے رشوت ستانی کس قدر بڑا جرم ہےاور آخر میں اپنی معذوری ظاہر کرکے کھانا کھانے سے انکار کردیا،مسافر کی گفتگو اس قدر سنجیدہ اورباوقارتھی کہ ڈاکٹر صاحب نے بھی ان کے سامنے اپنی گردن خم کردی اوربڑی ندامت کے ساتھ کھانااٹھاکرگھر واپس چل دئے ،یہاں تاجر صاحب پہلے ہی ان کے منتظر تھے، یہ دونوں نہایت ہی درد وندامت کے ساتھ ایک دوسرے کو اپنی کہانی سنارہے تھے کہ دوچاراورنیک دل مسلمان وہاں جمع ہوگئے ،انھوں نے بھی یہ دونوں کہانیاں سنیں اورآناً فاناً یہ بات محلے میں عام ہو گئی ۔

ڈاکٹر صاحب اورتاجر صاحب نے مل کرعرض کیا کہ اب کسی زمیندار کے ہاں سے کھانا بھیجوانا چاہئے ، تاکہ اس پر سود یا رشوت کا الزام نہ آسکے ،چنانچہ اسی وقت ایک زمیندار کے ہاں سے کھانا بھجوایا گیا۔

مسافر نے ان سے پوچھا :"آپ کے پاس کوئی گروی زمین تونہیں ہے؟’’
جب زمیندار صاحب نے اس کا اقرار کیا تو مسافر نے انہیں پھیر دیا اورکہاکہ جو شخص مسلمان ہو کر زمین گروی رکھتا ہے اس کی کمائی حرام سے خالی نہیں ہوسکتی،اس کے بعد

ایک عالم صاحب کو بھیجا گیا، ان میں نقص پایا گیا کہ انھوں نے اپنی بہنوں اورلڑکیوں کو حکم ِ شریعت کے مطابق جائیدادمیں حصہ نہیں دیاتھا،
اس واسطے مسافر نے ان کا کھانا بھی رَدکردیا اور فرمایا کہ آپ بہنوں اورلڑکیو ں کے حصۂ شرعی کے غاصب ہیں اورآپ کے ہرلقمے میں آدھے سے کم حرام شامل نہیں ہے ،نماز ِ مغرب سے یہ سلسلہ شروع ہوااور رات کے ۹/بج گئے ،متعدد مسلمان کھانا لے کرگئے مگر مسجد سے شرمندہ ونگوں سارہوکرواپس آئے ۔
مسافرکُلُوْا مِمَّا فِی الْاَرْضِ حَلٰلاً طَیِّباًکی کسوٹی لئے مسجد میں بیٹھا تھا اورہر ایک مسلمان کو جوکھانا لے کر جاتا تھا ،اسی قرآنی کسوٹی پر پر کھتا تھا اور شرمندہ کرکے باہر نکال دیتا تھا ،تمام آبادی میں شوربرپا ہوگیا،جابجایہی چرچا تھا،مسلمانوں کو بھوک اور نیند بھول گئی، گھروں میں ،بازاروں میں ،گلی کو چوں میں جہاں بھی چار آدمی بیٹھے تھے، یہی گفتگو اورذکر تھا، جب کسی جگہ ایک مسلمان دوسرے کو کہتا تھا کہ:"تم کھانا لے جاؤ تو وہ اسی وقت کانوں پر ہاتھ رکھ دیتا تھا، کوئی کہتا تھا کہ میں راشی ہوں ،کوئی کہتا تھا کہ میں سود خوار ہوں ،کوئی کہتا تھا کہ میں کم تولتا ہوں ،کوئی کہتا تھا کہ میں نے لڑکیوں کو حصہ نہیں دیا ،کوئی کہتا تھا کہ میرے لڑکوں کی آمدنی میں حرام شامل ہے،مختصر یہ کہ دلوں کے عیوب آج زبانوں پر آگئے تھے اوران کابرملااعلان ہورہاتھا،اگر چہ اچھرہ میں ہزار ہامسلمان آباد تھے ،مگر ایک شخص بھی اکل ِ حلال کا مدعی بن کرسامنے نہیں آتاتھا،بزرگان ِ قصبہ کی گرد نیں خم تھیں ،بااحساس مسلمان زمین میں غرق ہوئے جاتے تھے کہ آج ہزارہا مسلمانوں میں ایک شخص بھی نہیں ملتا جو ایک ایسے مہمان کو جواکل ِ حلال کا طالب تھا،ایک ہی وقت کا کھانا کھلاسکے ،رات کے دس بج گئے ،مگر کسی گھر سے کھانا نہ گیا،اب سوال یہ درپیش تھاکہ کیا یہ مسافر اچھرہ سے بھوکا چلا جائے گا؟
کیا رسول ﷺ کے امتی حرام کھانے پر مصر ر ہیں گے ؟جوں جوں وقت گذرتاجاتاتھا دلوں کا اضطراب بڑھتاجاتاتھا ،یہاں تک کہ رات کے گیارہ بج گئے’’۔
آخر مجمع کے اندر امید کی کرن جلوہ گرہوئی،ایک شخص نے کہا:میں ابھی لڑکیوں کاحصہ دیتا ہوں اوراس نے دے دیا،دوسرے نے کہا:میں گروی زمین چھوڑتاہوں اوراس نے چھوڑدی،تیسرے شخص نے کہا: میں آج کے بعد کبھی سود نہ لوں گااوراس نے سود کاکاروبارترک کردیا،مختصر یہ کہ آن کی آن میں اچھرہ کے بیشمار مسلمانوں پر توبہ واستغفارکے دروازے کھل گئے،کسی نے رشوت چھوڑدی ،کسی نے جھوٹی گواہی کا پیشہ چھوڑدیا، کسی نے راگ رنگ سے توبہ کرلی،کسی نے یتیموں کا غصب شدہ مال واپس کردیا،اس کے بعد تائبین کی جماعت کھانا لے کر مسافر کے پاس آئی اور اُسے بتایا گیاکہ اچھرہ کے بیشمار مسلمان اب اللہ کی بارگاہ میں جھک گئے ہیں ، انھوں نے اپنی غلطیوں کو محسوس کرلیا ہے اور اب عملی اصلاح وتوبہ کے بعد آپ کے پاس آئے ہیں اوریہ کھانا پیش کرتے ہیں ۔
مسافر نے جب یہ واردات سنی تو سجدے میں گر گیا، اس کے بعد دستر خوان بچھایا گیاجس میں سے مسافر نے چند لقمے کھائے اور اس کے بعد لوگوں کورخصت کردیا۔
صبح کے وقت اچھرہ کے بیشمار مسلمان جوق درجوق مسجد میں آئے تاکہ باخدانسان کی زیارت کریں جس کے زہد ِبے ریاء نے اپنے صرف ایک ہی عمل سے اچھرہ کے آدھے مسلمانوں کو صحیح معنوں میں سچامسلمان بنادیا تھا،مگر وہ حیرت زدہ رہ گئے جب انہیں بتایاگیاکہ کہ مسافر تہجد کے بعد مسجد سے نکلاتھااور واپس نہیں آیا۔ 

یہ ایک واقعہ ہے جس سے معلوم ہوسکتا ہے کہ اہل اللہ کس طرح خلق ِ خدا کی اصلاح کیاکرتے ہیں ؟
مسافر نے کوئی وعظ نہیں کیا ،کوئی چلہ نہیں کیا ،کوئی کتاب نہیں چھاپی ،کوئی درس وتدریس کا نصاب نہیں بنایا، وہ مغرب سے تہجد تک صرف چند گھنٹے اچھرہ کی جامع مسجد میں ٹھہرا ،مگر جب وہاں سے نکلاتو صد ہامسلمانوں کی اصلاح ہوچکی تھی ،بیشمار یتیموں کو اپنا حق مل چکاتھا،بے شمار لڑکیوں کو اپنا شرعی حصہ مل چکا تھا،بہت سے مقرو ضوں نے اپنا قرضہ وصول کرلیاتھا،بہت سے رشوت خوار رشوت ستانی سے باز آچکے تھے ، بہت سے جواری جو اچھوڑچکے تھے، یہ سب کہ سب لوگ تقریباًوہ تھے جن پر صد ہا مرتبہ قرآن پڑھاگیا، جنہیں بیسیوں مرتبہ وعظ سنائے گئے اورجن سے متعدد مرتبہ پنچایتوں نے جمع ہوہوکراہل ِ حق کے لئے حق کا مطالبہ کیا،مگر وہ ظلم وستم سے باز نہ آئے ، لیکن اب وہ ایک ہی رات میں اس طرح ازخود گناہوں سے تائب ہوگئے کہ گویا انھوں نے کبھی گناہ نہیں کیا تھا، پھر لطف یہ کہ یہ سار ا کام نماز ِ مغرب سے شروع ہوااور اسی رات گیارہ بجے ختم وہ گیا ۔..... ایسے ہی باعمل اورباخداانسان ہیں جن کی نگاہوں سے قوموں اورملکوں کی تقدیر یں بدل جاتی ہیں...
